Our Story:

Soul and Shield was born from a simple conviction: that every business decision is also an opportunity to make the world a little better.

Soul and Shield was founded on the belief that business has the power to lift people up, create opportunity, and leave a meaningful mark on the world. We are a purpose-driven company dedicated to empowering the artists, nonprofits, and changemakers who make communities stronger. Through our ventures — including Kind Footprints — we channel decades of experience in leadership, community building, and innovation into projects that matter.

Kim McKoy

With four decades of experience in the nonprofit sector, Kim has spent her career at the helm of organizations dedicated to transforming communities. As an executive and a mentor, she has guided countless women through the complexities of leadership and personal development. A lifelong innovator, Kim was an early adopter of the digital frontier—coding websites in the 90s and exploring the potential of cryptocurrency long before it hit the mainstream. Her commitment to safety and empowerment is deeply personal; having thrived after surviving domestic violence and other life-altering challenges, she is a testament to the fact that resilience is not just about bouncing back, but about leaping forward. As an executive and a mentor, she has guided countless women through the complexities of leadership and personal development. For Kim, this platform is the culmination of a lifetime spent advocating for women’s voices and ensuring they have the strength—and the resources—to lead.
